Telugu Cinema 2010

2010 is not a good one for Telugu cinema. Loads of movies released this year, but The success percentage is pretty low, may be around 10% or even less than that and most of the big films didn’t live up to the expectations. 

Robo and Simha are only the films, did a fantastic job at box-office. Tremendous hits. In those movies Robo is a Dubbed one. Darling,Ye maya chesave, Maryada ramanna, Brindaavanam, Adhurs, Don seenu, Bettting Bangarraju, Leader and Bindaas are the decent hits and average ones. Vedam and Prasthanam are the two movies got good reviews, but failed to do well at box-office. Coming to overseas box-office, Mahesh Khaaleja stands at the top position in straight telugu films.

Personally ...

I watched 48 Telugu movies this year, 45 in theaters and 3 in DVD’s …..

In those 48 movies … Mahesh Khaaleja is a special one for me. I can’t express in words, how much I waited for this movie, how much I excited about this movie before its release and how good I felt while watching it on first day first show. Watching my hero on big screen after almost 3 years is The Best moment for me, this year. 

 I am totally surprised with Mahesh new look, his dialogue delivery and his comic timing, everything was so perfect and superb. Awesome Performance. Awesome is an understatement!!!

 I loved it, but sadly it didn’t live up to the expectations here in A.P but did really well at overseas.

Coming to remaining 47 movies, I’m going to mention some among them … Those are the following,

> Namo venkatesha 

Starring Venkatesh and Trisha in lead roles Directed by Seenu Vytla .. 

I enjoyed the movie.Venky was super hilarious and Trisha was Beautiful. Clean Entertainer.

> Shambo Shiva Shambo 

Starring Ravi teja, Naresh and Shiva bhalaji in lead roles Directed by samudra khani .. 

 Liked it … Really and I love Interval and Climax moments in the movie soo much. Allari Naresh and Ravi teja Performances are Top class. Shambo Shiva Shambo Song was Awesome in the movie.

> Adhurs 

Starring NTR, Bramhanandam and Nayanatara in lead roles directed by V.V Vinayak ..

First half of the movie was decent with some funny moments, second half was worst. Bramhanandam was the hero for me in this movie!!

> Kedi 

Starring Nagarjuna and Mamta mohan das in lead roles directed by Kiran kumar .. 

Stupid movie.

> Leader 

Starring Rana, Richa and Priya in lead roles directed by Shekar Kammula – Nice and cool First half but second half was not good and climax was not convincing. Music was top class. Special  Mention to Priya, Super Debut Performance.

> Ye maya Chesave 

Starring Naga Chaitanya and Samantha in lead roles Directed by Gautham menon .. 

Awesome Movie. Super Direction, Fantastic music by Rahman and Lovely Jessie. Jessie is the character in the film played by Samantha. 

The Magic that Jessie Created was spellbinding, Drives you crazy. One can’t escape from her magic. Samantha was stellar in the movie, Mesmerizing Performance and absolute treat to watch her on screen.

> Varudu 

Starring Allu Arjun in Lead role Directed by Guna Shekar ..

Disappoints, Worst Climax!!

> Darling 

Starring Prabhas and Kajal in lead roles directed by Karuna karan ..

Cool Entertaining Movie … Enjoyed it totally, Prabhas was too good as prabha and Kajal was too Beautiful. Pleasant Lovely Movie.

> Prasthanam 

Starring sai kumar and sharwanand in lead roles directed by deva katta ..

Superb movie, Excellent Dialogues and Outstanding performances by Sai kumar and Sharwanand. 

> Simha 

Starring Bala Krishna and Nayanatara in lead roles Directed by Boyapati seenu – Super hit of the year. But I didn’t enjoyed it. Flashback Episode was too good though. Typical balakrishna dialogues. Ilike.

> Golimaar 

Starring Gopichand and Priyamani in lead roles directed by Puri Jagannadh ..

Disappoints. Dialogues by Puri r too good though.

> Rama Rama Krishna Krishna 

Starring Ram, priya and Bramhanandam in lead roles Directed by sri vaas  ..

Disappoints. Luv Bramhi scenes in the movie.

> Vedam 

Starring Allu arjun, manoj and Anushka in lead roles directed by krish ..

Awesome movie. Superb performances and Wonderful direction. Luved it. Hats off to Krish and his team.

> Jummandi naadam 

Starring manoj, Mohanbabu and Tapsee in lead roles directed by K. Raghvendra rao ..

Expect some comedy scenes .., Nothing Great in the movie. Mohanbabu did well and Bramhi Rocks Once Again.

> Maryada ramannna 

Starring Sunil and saloni in lead roles directed by SS Rajamouli ..

Good Movie with Tight Screen play. Sunil did well and saloni was Super cute. Real Hero was SS and his team. Special mention to Music Director MM Keera vaani, BGM Rocks.

> Don Seenu 

Starring Shriya and Ravi teja in lead roles directed by Gopichand ..

Typical Raviteja mark movie. Clean Entertainer. Raviteja and Bramhi are hilarious and Treat to watch My Darling Shriya, did a telugu movie after long time. She Rocks. 

> Komaram Puli 

Starring Pawan Kalyan in lead role directed by SJ surya ..

Movie Disappoints, Surya was the Culprit. Pawan did well at some moments !!

> Baava 

Starring Siddharth and Praneeta in lead roles directed by rambabu ..

First half of the movie was fun, Second Half was Worst and poor performance by siddharth in second half !!

> Brindaavanam 

Starring NTR, Kajal and Samantha in lead roles directed by vamsi ..

Nothing new in the movie, Didn’t enjoyed it. For me it’s a Bad Movie !!

> ROBO 

Starring Rajni Rajni Rajni and Aishwarya in lead roles directed by Shankar ..

AWESOME. Fantastic movie. Super Star Rajni Rocks and Aishwarya Was toooooo Beautiful. Superb Visual Effects and Amazing Music. Epic Climax. Kudos to Shankar, Rajni and the whole team of Robo.

> Orange 

Starring Ram Charan, Genelia and Shazahn in lead roles directed by Bhaskar ..

Not a good One. Songs r nice. Special Mention to Shazahn, She was soo Beautiful and she rocks as Ruba!

> Nagavalli 

Starring Venkatesh in lead role directed by vaasu ..

Not a bad one, Worst Climax and Worst Direction. Movie could have been much better.

> Ragada 

Starring Nagarjuna, Bramhanandam and Anushka in lead roles directed by veeru potla ..

Disappoints, Bramhi Darling was funny and Anushka Darling was Beautiful !

All in all .. 2010, not a good one for telugu cinema. Hope 2011 will be a good one.
